Dulles Jet Center back in business

Less than two years after a February 2010 record snowfall severely damaged three of its four hangars and part of the fourth one, Dulles Jet Center has re-opened with two new hangars at Washington-Dulles International Airport (IAD).

Dulles Jet Center is scheduled to complete construction on the final two hangars next month.

“We took an unfortunate situation and turned it into a benefit for our customers by upgrading the hangars and returning this facility to the finest hangar-based corporate aircraft facility in the nation,” said Nathan Landow, who along with Michael and David Landow are the owners of Dulles Jet Center. “It’s been a year and a half of hard work and an education to see this cometogether. I’m optimistic about the future.”

The newly constructed and upgraded facility now features 160,000 square feet of hangar space that provide improved energy efficiencies that include high-efficiency radiant heat, energy management systems and automated climate control.

Dulles Jet Center support facilities offer private jet owners high-tech shop space for their mechanics, pilot lounges, office space and more than 300,000 square feet of ramp parking.
