Flight Guide iEFB app updated

Airguide Publications has released v4.2, a free update for the Flight Guide iEFB iPad application.

“Flight Guide iEFB v4.2 is a major update that includes Guardian Aero 454 integration with Flight Guide iEFB v4.2 for a wireless Flight Plan link to Garmin 430, 530, GNS650, GNS750, G900, and G1000 panel mounted GPS receivers,” said Larry Garcia, owner of Airguide Publications.

“We are excited to partner with Airguide Publications on our Model Aero 454 and Flight Guide’s IEFB Application for the Apple iPad,” said Ash Vij, President of Guardian Avionics. “This will eliminate the need for pilots to input the same flight plan twice, since Flight Guide iEFB, through a wireless connection with the Aero 454 and a Garmin GPS, instantly displays any created or edited flight plans on iEFB’s Seamless Flight Planning Charts. Pilots will also no longer need an external GPS device for their iPad, since reliable WAAS GPS data is wirelessly sent from their Garmin panel mount through the Aero 454 and received on any iPad running Flight Guide iEFB.”

Flight Guide iEFB v4.2 additional features include: Seamless Chart Layer tool, Floating Compass Rose, NEXRAD Weather Overlays on seamless Flight Planning Charts, Search/Add Waypoints on seamless charts, Auto Route Airways for Flight Planning, Helicopter Seamless Charts, Civil Air Patrol Grid Chart Overlay with visual “Cookie Crumbs” option on all VFR & IFR Seamless Charts, View & Measure the Lat/Long location and distance from your current GPS location on Seamless Charts and more.

Flight Guide iEFB is available for free through the Apple App Store. CAP discounted Annual Data Plans are available, as well as a 30-Day free trial.
