Wipaire has established a southeastern service center in at the Leesburg International Airport (LEE) in Leesburg, Florida.
The facility will offer onsite aircraft and float maintenance, avionics repair and installations, aircraft interior refurbishments and float installations as well as installations of select Wipaire modifications.
The service center’s hangar can accommodate aircraft ranging in size from small single-engine aircraft such as the Piper Super Cub up to single-engine turboprops like the Quest Kodiak (pictured) and Cessna Caravan series. Leesburg’s proximity to Lake Harris and the Tavares seaplane base, as well as the number of floatplanes and seaplane-rated pilots in the regionm make Leesburg an excellent location for Wipaire, company officials said.
Wipaire officials said the company will use the Leesburg facility to evaluate the service center concept for potential future expansion. Services are scheduled to become available in February 2013.
Owners and operators interested in scheduling services should contact Rod Edlund, Assistant Director of Maintenance, via phone at 651-286-7010 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org
