Upgrades to the 4,500 foot seaway at the Harry P. Williams Memorial Airport (KPTN) in Patterson, Louisiana, are set to begin Nov. 4. The upgrades begin with the construction of a new, additional concrete ramp for launching and retrieval of straight float aircraft, which will be overlaid by wood for use by amphibious aircraft.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Sheltair has completed Phase I of an expansion at the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (FLL). Phase I of the three-phase development project included 134,806 square feet of hangar and office space on more than 11 acres of land on the west side of the airfield.
Signature Flight Support at Kissimmee Gateway Airport (ISM) in Florida is hosting a Pancake Breakfast Fly-In to support the Wounded Warrior Project. The event, which will benefit veterans, will take place on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. There will be no charge for the breakfast, but all donations will go towards the Wounded Warrior Project.
In addition to the pancake breakfast, a silent auction will be held. Other event activities will include a static display of vintage World War II aircraft, additional contemporary aircraft and an exhibit by the Museum of Military History.
