HAMMOND, La. — Top Gun Aviation at Hammond Northshore Regional Airport (HDC) is marking a silver and golden anniversary all in one year. Tom Eiermann acquired Top Gun Aviation in 1989. Since then, it has grown from a two-person operation to a 15-person operation. As the FBO marks its 25th year in 2014, it is also celebrating Tom’s 50th year in the aviation industry.
WICHITA — Yingling Aircraft has acquired the assets of ICT Aircraft Services and will begin providing Type One de-icing and Type Four anti-icing services for aircraft at Mid-Continent Airport beginning immediately.

And, oh yeah, the idea for that app earned him a spot as one of five college finalists in Entrepreneur Magazine’s Entrepreneur of 2014 contest. His idea is the only one related to general aviation.
