MOBILE, Ala. — Continental Motors Group (CMG) reports it has received approval from the US government and completed its acquisition of Southern Avionics and Communications.
CMG will continue to operate the avionics and aircraft interior business under the name Southern Avionics and Communications while the operations and employees are integrated with Continental Motors Services (CMS).
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Thanks to a coalition of aviation trade associations and the responsiveness of the FAA, the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) will retain seven important letters. The word “serious” has been reinserted into the paragraph of 14 CFR part 145 requiring repair stations to report failures, malfunctions or defects in articles received for work to the agency within 96 hours.
West Star Aviation recently added accessory shop capabilities at its Columbia, South Carolina (CAE) location. The new shop became fully operational in April. In addition, West Star will open another all new accessory shop at its East Alton, Ill. (ALN) location during the fourth quarter of 2014.
