OSHKOSH — Blackhawk Modifications of Waco, Texas, is adding a new engine upgrade option for Cessna 208A Caravan and 208B Grand Caravan aircraft.
Blackhawk is certifying the 867 horsepower PT6A-140 engine as a direct aftermarket replacement for the standard PT6A-114 (600 horsepower) or the PT6A-114A (675 horsepower) in those aircraft.
ENID, Oklahoma – Aircraft Structures International Corp. (ASIC) has revealed plans to install the Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) PT6A-140 turboprop engine into the Cessna Grand Caravan and the original Caravan, with Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) in place by the end of 2014. The modified Caravan will be called the ULtimate Caravan.
Aircraft Structures International Corp. has received STC approval for its Wing Jack Pad, L.E.D. Cargo Pod Lights, and Standby Flap System Limit Switches for the Cessna Caravan 208 and 208B.
