LiveAirShowTV partners with EAA on new educational effort

LiveAirShowTV, in conjunction with the International Society of Transport Aircraft Traders (ISTAT) Foundation and the Experimental Aircraft Association, is about to begin a new educational initiative called Careers in Aviation.

“Careers” is a series of fast-moving videos featuring young professionals currently working in various jobs of the aviation industry. The series is one of the steps in a program to promote awareness of aviation career opportunities to middle and high school students, according to officials.

EAA tour entertains, informs and mends some fences

PUYALLUP, Wash. – EAA’s Grassroots Pilot Tour stopped at Spencer Aircraft at KPLU on Monday, Feb. 18. About 125 people, mostly Mount Rainier Chapter 326 members, showed up to hear from EAA HQ staffers. This tour stop delivered Jeff Skiles, vice president of chapters and youth education, Trevor Janz, manager of vhapters and Eagle Flights, and Brady Lane, multimedia journalist.

EAA makes finding transition training in homebuilts easier

The Experimental Aircraft Association has debuted an online listing of Letter of Deviation Authority (LODA) holders for instruction in experimental aircraft.

The list, categorized by state, includes CFIs who are authorized by the FAA to offer certain types of instruction for hire in their experimental aircraft for the purposes of type-specific training. [Read more...]

Pioneering aircraft designer featured speaker at EAA’s Wright Brothers Memorial Banquet

More than 16,000 comments on medical exemption request

End of public comment period moves measure to next stage

A late flurry of public comments to the joint EAA/AOPA third-class medical exemption request pushed the total number of comments to more than 16,000, one of the largest totals for any public comment period involving GA activities, according to Experimental Aircraft Association officials.
