The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) Air Safety Institute (ASI) has released a new course designed to provide pilots with techniques for flying more safely under instrument flight rules (IFR).
The first IMC Club chapter in Illinois kicks off Jan. 17 as pilots meet at Chicago Executive Airport (PWK).
Now available from ASA is the latest edition of the Instrument Flying Handbook.
A new chapter of the IMC Club has opened at the headquarters of the National Association of Flight Instructors in Kalamazoo, Mich.
IMC Club International will open additional chapters across the nation in the next few weeks. Pilots will gather at CP Aviation in Santa Paula, Calif., on Aug. 25; RedBird Skyport in San Marcos, Texas, on Sept. 13; and MotionAir Aviation on Sept. 14 in Midlothian, Texas, for inaugural meetings. Also, new chapters are planned for North Carolina, Nevada, Michigan, Alabama, and Nebraska.
IMC Club International is opening three new chapters in the next two weeks. Pilots will gather at Iowa Flight Training in Cedar Rapids on March 6; North Ramp Aviation in South Burlington, Vt., on March 8, and MotionAir Aviation in Midlothian, Texas for the official inaugural meeting of the new IMC Club chapters.
