Flying the ‘world’s smallest jet’

An Oklahoma television station recently did a story on the FLS Microjet, an updated BD-5 that Oklahoma pilot Justin Lewis flies at airshows. Weighing just 416 pounds before adding fuel and the pilot, the jet can reach up to 320 miles per hour. Watch the video and read the report here.

Cirrus ‘full speed ahead’ on jet

On opening day of Aero, the giant general aviation show in Germany, Cirrus Aircraft revealed that its Cirrus Vision SF50 personal jet program has been fully funded through certification and initial production by the company’s new owner, China Aviation Industry General Aircraft Co Ltd (CAIGA).

Cirrus committed to jet

Cirrus Aircraft officials say they are making steady progress on the SF50 Vision jet program and the prototype has logged more than 700 flight test hours since its first flight in 2008.
