CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – TeenFlight Campbell River Society’s Van’s RV-12, C-FPUN, is now for sale by auction.
C-FPUN was built in Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada, by high school students enrolled in the TeenFlight program. Construction was overseen by experienced mentors and aircraft maintenance engineers during the 2014 to 2016 school years.

On Aug. 27, the shipping department at Van’s Aircraft had several orders to fill. By the end of the day, it had rolled out the 937th RV-12 kit empennage package onto the shipping dock, where it was picked up by a customer from Washington state, Richard Bangsund.
What’s the significance of 937? Combined with the S-LSA “fly-away” RV-12s the company has constructed, the total number of RV-12 empennage kits produced and sold now totals 1,000. [Read more…]
Production of fly-away S-LSA RV-12 will continue in 2014, according to Dick VanGrunsven, founder of Van’s Aircraft, Inc. and Wally Anderson, head of Synergy Air.
Van’s Aircraft is tentatively entering the OEM market with an initial run of 12 deluxe copies of its RV-12 LSA. According to a podcast interview with AVweb at AOPA Aviation Summit in Palm Springs, Calif., Van’s Aircraft founder and president Dick VanGrunsven said it was a market the company was thinking about when it launched the RV-12.
