COPPELL, Texas — Bill Ross, vice president of product support at Superior Air Parts, has earned an FAA Inspection Authorization (IA).
Earning Inspection Authorization gives Ross the authority to work with aircraft owners and engine builder/overhaulers to guide them on determining an aircraft or engine’s airworthiness by inspecting repairs or alterations for conformity to approved data, and helping them assure that the aircraft and engine is in a condition for safe operation. OSHKOSH — Superior Air Parts has entered into an agreement with Tulsa-based Christiansen Aviation to obtain an FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) that will allow Superior’s FAA-certified 180-horsepower Vantage Engine to be used on Cessna 172 aircraft.
