Flight Design delivers 24 CT’s

By General Aviation News Staff · February 17, 2006 ·

It also was a good year for Flight Design USA, distributor of the technically advanced CT Light Sport Aircraft (LSA). It delivered 45 planes to customers in the United States in 2005, leading the LSA industry. Expect that trend to continue this year, says Tom Peghiny, president, who notes an equal number of deliveries are scheduled for early 2006. The company is delivering eight planes a month. “We anticipate increasing that number in coming months,” he said. “Our manufacturer, Flight Design GmbH of Germany, is increasing its production capacity, and we’ve added a national sales and service network to increase sales and improve customer support.”

The all-composite, two-place CT is powered by a 100-hp Rotax 912S engine and equipped with a BRS ballistic parachute as standard equipment.
