TropicAero.com has recently undergone a re-design of its on-line aviation retail store. The new website showcases portable aviation electronics, pilot supplies, training materials, cockpit accessories, apparel and safety equipment from manufacturers such as Garmin, David Clark, Telex, ICOM, Bose, and Lightspeed.
The new TropicAero.com site offers web pages that are cleaner and more concise. Drop-down/fly-out menus allow people to find products and information quickly and easily. In many cases a person can navigate directly to a specific product or manufacturer in just one click.
In addition to ease in navigating, the new site offers more functionality. The Garmin GPS Comparison page helps people decide which aviation unit is best for them by allowing them to select several Garmin GPS units and compare their features and specs side-by-side. An “Accessories” tab is available on every Garmin GPS unit and lists every accessory and replacement part for that specific unit. Also offered on the site is a link to the Garmin blog which educates visitors on using and maintaining Garmin Aviation GPS units.
Other helpful sections on the site are the “Reviews”, “Web Specials” and “Trade-In Requirements” tabs. The “Reviews” tab is on every product and allows people to rate the product and add their opinions on it. “Web Specials” offer deals and special sale items, and the “Trade-In Requirements” tab provides information on trading-in a used Garmin. Also, visitors can sign up at the site to request a free catalog and e-letters from Tropic Aero.
“On the main page of the site, we offer a link for visitors to provide their feedback on the site. We have already received many positive comments about the ease of use, the large selection of products offered, the convenience of the GPS comparison pages and the Garmin Blog,” stated Chris Oquist, Tropic Aero’s Internet Marketer.
Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Tropic Aero is a division of Banyan Air Service.
