Museum appoints new director

The International Women’s Air and Space Museum in Cleveland, Ohio, has appointed Suzanne “Suzie” Dills as the museum’s new Executive Director.

Dills replaces Toni Mullee, who is serving on the museum’s Board of Trustees.

Prior to joining the museum, Dills developed and implemented Science, Technology, Engineering and Math programs for Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio, which encompasses 18 counties. She was instrumental in securing funds for the purchase of two state-of-the-art observatories, a mobile robotics lab and Starlab, a portable planetarium.

She also delivered astronomy and space science educational programming at Lake Erie Nature and Science Center along with non-profit accounting duties. Her positions at Girl Scouts and at the Nature Center also included supervising staff and volunteers.

Dills has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and minors in Mathematics and Business Management.

The International Women’s Air & Space Museum is located in the Burke Lakefront Airport terminal building. Museum admission is free and exhibits are open 8 am-8 pm daily. The Fay Gillis Wells Research Center and Gift Shop are open 10 am to 4 pm. Monday through Saturday.
