Goodyear launches ground school video series

Aircraft owners and technicians looking for answers to general aviation tire questions now have an online video resource: The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company’s Ground School video series.

Goodyear recently posted four Ground School videos on YouTube. They include:

  • Goodyear Ground School: General FAQs, which addresses questions about tire replacement and other subjects.
  • Goodyear Ground School: Inflation Tips, which covers proper inflation pressure, how to help avoid hydroplaning, flotation tires, and more.
  • Goodyear Ground School: Inspection 101, which offers useful information about pre-flighting tires, tire conditions and other topics.
  • Goodyear Ground School: Fleet Management, which discusses how Kent State (Ohio) University’s Flight School achieves optimal value from its aircrafts’ tires.

The videos can be accessed by clicking on this link. They were filmed in conjunction with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) at Goodyear’s Blimp Hangar near Akron, Ohio, as well as Kent State University’s Flight School.
