Tom Poberezny, chairman emeritus of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) has joined the leadership team of the Citation Jet Pilots Owner-Pilot Association (CJP), serving as vice president, CJP Events and Programs, and Chairman of the 2012 CJP Convention in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Sept. 12-16.
“The Board and Staff of CJP are pleased that Tom has accepted our invitation to be part of this growing and dynamic organization. Tom is a respected aviation industry leader who brings a wealth of experience to CJP,” said Ralph Lloyd, executive director and COO of CJP.
Poberezny has earned industry recognition through a list of accomplishments that include leading and developing EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, for more than three and half decades, taking on the job following his father, Paul’s, retirement. In addition, he planned and developed the EAA Aviation Center, inspired and implemented EAA Young Eagles, and invested in aviation’s future through the creation of the Light Sport Aircraft/Sport Pilot initiative, CJP officials noted.
“I am pleased and excited to join CJP. My focus will be on enhancing CJP events and growing its membership by providing valued operational and safety information, as well as developing engaging experiences for members, their family, and friends,” said Poberezny.
