New board of directors for Houston museum

The members of the Houston Aeronautical Heritage Society, Inc., the non-profit organization the operates the 1940 Air Terminal Museum, have elected a new board of directors.

The new board includes:

Dana Atkinson, president of Anson Air, a flight training school located at Sugar Land Municipal Airport. He has been elected HAHS’ new president.

Steve Holmes, president of Gulf Coast Aviation, Inc., one of Houston’s aviation charter management companies. He has been elected the new chairman of HAHS’ Board of Directors.

Amy Rogers, a graduate of Stephen F. Austin’s museum studies program, who is the administrator of the 1940 Air Terminal Museum and Secretary Treasurer of HAHS.

Jerry Smith, who is president of JBA Aviation, a business aircraft broker. Smith is a commercial pilot and a decorated US Army aviator. He has been elected HAHS’ vice-president.

Tyler Hall, an aerospace engineer and third-generation pilot who is president of Reuleaux Engineering, which supports manned and unmanned spaceflight programs.

Debbie Holmes, a business aviation industry veteran and Secretary/Treasurer of Gulf Coast Aviation.

Christopher Gilbert, a trial lawyer and United States Marine, who serves on the State Bar of Texas board of directors and is a commercial pilot.

Clinton Holmes, a commercial pilot, West Point graduate and US Army veteran who is president of Jetstream Aircraft Cleaning. He has been chosen by the board to be HAHS’ chief pilot.

Gregory Evans is a private pilot, United States Marine and IT manager for the Houston Humane Society. He has been chosen by the board to be HAHS’ IT Manager.

The 1940 Air Terminal Museum is located at 8325 Travelair Road, on the west side of Hobby Airport, and is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. For more information: 713-454-1940 or 1940AirTerminal.org
