Aerobatic star Chambliss teams with GoPro

By Janice Wood · May 9, 2012 ·

Kirby Chambliss, a five-time United States National Aerobatic Champion and two-time Red Bull Air Race World Champion, has struck a partnership with GoPro, which produces a line of cameras. The partnership is designed to showcase Kirby Chambliss’ aerobatic skills and footage of amazing views of the world.

“I am thrilled to share my passion through the lens of GoPro,” said Chambliss, noting the alliance will debut at this summer’s AirVenture in Oshkosh.

Chambliss, a former Red Bull Air Race World Champion, began flying at the age of 13 and has logged over 26,000 hours. He is a five-time United States National Aerobatic Champion and has collected nine medals in World competitions.

Based in Half Moon Bay, California, GoPro’s HD HERO lines of wearable and gear mountable cameras are used by consumers, professional athletes, and video production professionals. GoPro’s products are sold in over 140 countries via specialty sports retailers, Sport Chalet, Best Buy and at GoPro.com.
