SoCal Jets adds avionics service

By Janice Wood · September 23, 2012 ·

SoCal Jets, an aviation maintenance and repair facility at the Van Nuys Airport (VNY) in Southern California, now offers avionics service and support.

“Due to customer demand, we have expanded our services to include avionics.” said Robert Roig, president and founder of SoCal Jets Inc. “We have hired extremely talented avionics professionals to our team, and are able to service and install a wide range of avionics equipment.”

SoCal Jets’ Avionics Technicians have more than 10 years of experience each, and attend annual training courses to keep current, company officials noted. The SoCal Jets avionics team offers everything from troubleshooting and maintenance, including Pitot/Static Checks, RVSM certifications and ELT inspections to installations and repair. SoCal Jets is also an authorized Aircell dealer in Mexico. SoCal Jets Avionics shop is equipped with state-of-the-art NAV/COMM and Pitot/Static test equipment, designed to troubleshoot delicate avionics units quickly and efficiently.

SoCal Jets was founded in 1984. For 15 years SoCal had previously shared a hangar with IFR Avionics at Peterson Aviation (now called Maguire Aviation). SoCal Jets calls that same hangar home, but now inhabits the entire 18,000 square foot facility.

SoCal Jets also offers sheet metal services, major inspections, pre-purchase inspections, import/export services, and brokerage services on the West Coast and in Mexico.
