Berg Aerodrome slates open house

By Janice Wood · October 4, 2012 ·

The Grass Strip Foundation at Berg Aerodrome (9GA2) in Midway, Georgia, will hold its third annual Open House Saturday, Oct. 27.

Owner Steve Berg invites all pilots and aviation enthusiasts to fly in their vintage airplanes or drive in their vintage cars to the open house and “enjoy telling the rest of us how great they are.”

Berg adds that local artisans and craftsmen have been invited and are welcome. Please RSVP if you plan to set up a booth space. There is no charge.

Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served.

The Grass Strip Foundation is a non-profit educational and preservation foundation dedicated to vintage, experimental and general aviation aircraft and their preservation. Its goal is to educate the public about the joys, practicalities, and necessities of aircraft in our society, focusing on aviation career possibilities for this and future generations. Tax deductible donations are encouraged.
