SUN ’n FUN takes off Tuesday

The 39th annual SUN ’n FUN will take off officially Tuesday, April 9.

On Monday, April 8, the grounds were buzzing with activity as exhibitors and vendors set up their displays. Aircraft flew in throughout the day, with pilots pitching their tents or finding their way into Lakeland to find lodging.

The show will run through Sunday, April 14. Highlights include a special day to honor the 60th anniversary of the Experimental Aircraft Association, a commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP)and more.
