Air Products Alaska debuts gust lock

By General Aviation News Staff · May 14, 2013 ·

So often “Can’t anyone make a gust lock that works?” is expressed by Cub owners. The folks at Air Products Alaska of Eagle River, Alaska, say yes, they can: They’ve introduced the Posi-lock, designed to address the need for a true control lock on Super Cubs and similar type Piper aircraft with spring return flaps.

Posi-locks were received with great interest at the 2013 Great Alaska Aviation Gathering in Anchorage, Alaska, company officials report.

Price: $79 each, requiring a basic set of two flap locks and two aileron locks. An extended set of locks for all hinge points is recommended for extreme wind conditions. A personalized carry bag is available.
