Fifth edition of ‘The Complete Advanced Pilot’ released

By General Aviation News Staff · September 25, 2013 ·

Now available is the fifth edition of “The Complete Advanced Pilot” by Bob Gardner.

The book weaves together years of experience and practical information while using the FAA instrument rating and commercial knowledge exams as the foundation for learning, according to the publishers.

The book prepares students for exams, as well as provides an operational understanding of flight that students can take to the cockpit as newly-minted commercial pilots operating under instrument flight rules (IFR), the publishers add.

Each chapter concludes with sample FAA test questions, and a glossary and index are included as well as aviation website links.

Illustrated throughout, this latest edition includes links to helpful resources on the internet for weather charts, full color examples of those weather charts, and more. Price: $29.95. It is also available as an eBook ($24.95) and eBundle (Print book + eBook, $34.95).
