MONTROSE, Colo. — Western Skyways reports its turbo normalizing system is now available to be installed on Cessna 206, 207 and 210 aircraft, as well as Cessna T206,T207 and T210 equipped with Continental engines.
“This turbo normalizing system has a proven track record over the last 15 years with installation on Beechcraft Bonanzas,” said Sales Representative Eric Barker.
The system increases rate of climb, and true airspeed at altitude.
A customer can now either match a desired fuel flow and see an increase in airspeed, or match a given airspeed and realize a reduction in fuel costs by as much as 4 gallons per hour, according to company officials.
The system accomplishes these benefits in a number of ways. The most notable are changes in compression ratio, introduction of a highly efficient intercooler, redesigned fuel system and modified induction air, officials explain.
Western Skyways overhauls precision-built Gold Seal Continental and Lycoming piston engines, as well as Pratt and Whitney PT6A and JT15D turbine engines.

Greetings and Happy Holidays,
I was curious or wondering, what are the chances of getting the STC on turbo normalizing a Cessna 182 turbo RG or Cessna 182 RG for that matter.
Thank you, best regards.

I remember Western Skyways from my days at Cessna. When the Titan 404 first came out it had problems making good the factory recommended overhaul period. Western Skyways came to Cessna and reviewed the installation. They then went to work on the cylinders and induction system and eventually came up with a higher than factory recommended TBO. Several touring operators and small feeder airlines used those Titans for a number of years.
This should be a good program for them, too.
