The Master Instructor Continuing Education Program (MICEP) began its transition to an Internet-based application process in October 2013, joining organizations such as TEDx, Disney, and Chicago Public Schools as clients of FluidReview’s online application management system.
This is one of several key upgrades made to the program as a result of a meeting of the Board of Review in February 2013, according to officials. Other improvements included overhauling the Master Instructors LLC website, creating a Facebook page and YouTube channel, and producing a new brochure, officials note.
Program Administrator JoAnn Hill commented, “We are really excited about the new system and how it has streamlined our application and review workflows. Not only is the online process more efficient, but it also results in much stronger submissions by applicants compared to the old paper method.”
According to the organization’s website, MICEP is “a professional approach to a professional accreditation” that offers a family of designations for aviation educators based on advanced professional standards and rigorous peer review. The program is open to qualified aviation educators regardless of their other affiliations, is FAA WINGS-approved, and can be used to renew unexpired flight instructor certificates.
Master Instructors LLC has set Dec. 1, 2013, as the cutoff for paper applications. After then all applications must be submitted using the online system.
