VERO BEACH, Fla. — Piper Aircraft sustained solid deliveries and revenue performance during the third quarter of 2013, continuing an improving trend, company officials report.
Reflecting a recommitment to the pilot training market, 61 Piper Trainer Class aircraft were delivered in the first three quarters of the year, up from 45 in the similar period in 2012, an increase of more than 35%. Total new aircraft deliveries during the nine-month period ended Sept. 30 reached 127 aircraft, compared to 116 aircraft in the comparable period a year ago, up more than 9%.
During the third quarter of 2013, Piper delivered 41 aircraft with a value of $37.2 million. Revenue from new aircraft sales through the end of the 2013 third quarter grew to $113.9 million, compared with $106.9 million during the same period in 2012, an increase of 6.5%.
