GulfCoast Supply, a metal roofing manufacturer and supplier in the state of Florida, has become the newest tenant at Sebring Regional Airport (SEF).
The airport facility will be used for manufacturing and distribution of the company’s products, according to Mike Willingham, executive director of Sebring Airport Authority.
Company officials note that, over time, up to 49 full-time jobs will be created at the company’s new location.
This doesn’t sound like an aviation related use of airport property.
Yet the FAA threatens to withhold funds from an airport sponsor if hangar tenants store a jet ski in the same hangar in which they store their airplane?
Hmmmm.
This looks like a nonaviation use of airport facilities which is an issue some organizations are trying to avoid at other airports
