Bob Taylor, who founded the Antique Airplane Association in 1953, invited all to AAA headquarters at Blakesburg, Iowa, for his June 28th birthday celebration.
More than 150 family members and friends enjoyed the catered lunch and dinner — plus cake and cupcakes. There was time to visit with flying friends and meet some new ones.
Bob welcomed his guests and found time to visit with all of them, according to a report from Ann Holtgren Pellegreno. He thoroughly enjoyed the day, as did all who attended. In retrospect, it was one grand celebration for someone who has done so much for old airplanes and the people who restore and fly them.
Happy 90th, Bob!
Hope you had a great birthday Bob! Thanks for all you have done for aviation in Iowa and beyond!
