Sporty’s 2014 leather jacket collection features the A-2 Leather Flight Jacket, which has been in use for more than 80 years and is a cultural icon.
Sporty’s has posted a gift guide on its website to help the friends and family of pilots get the gifts that pilots really want.

Aviation Tutorials Company has licensed its three pilot-training iPad apps to Sporty’s. The three apps focus on critical piloting skills, with these titles: Mastering Stick And Rudder Flying; Getting Around On The Ground; and Airborne Radar.

With the FAA mandate that all pilots seeking an ATP certificate be required to complete an FAA-approved ATP Certification Training Program (ATP-CTP) prior to taking the ATP Knowledge test, Sporty’s has partnered with ABX Airlines in Wilmington, Ohio, to offer this training.
