AvMap/Navigation introduces EKP-IV GPS navigator

By General Aviation News Staff · January 28, 2005 ·

The aviation division of AvMap/Navigation (formerly C-MAP/Aviation) has introduced a new addition to its Electronic Knee Pad (EKP) Series of moving map portable GPS navigators.

The new EKP-IV expands on many of the advanced features of its predecessor – the EKP-IIIC. Like the EKP-IIIC, the EKP-IV features a brilliant color sunlight-viewable LCD display.

Menu keys are placed along the sides of the slimmed-down case, making it easier to operate and access features such as the new Profile and Landscape viewing capabilities.

The EKP-IV is designed to be mounted on the knee, but the kneepad is removable to allow the unit to be mounted in the aircraft.
