TeleType Co. expands its TeleType GPS WorldNavigator aviation product for both VFR and IFR navigation by adding Victor Airways support. This reduces the effort required to enter complex flight routes. The Pocket PC-based system allows a pilot to enter a route giving the entry fix on a Victor Airway and the exit fix for that airway. Multiple Victor Airways can be used in one flight route. While the software has been updated to be used in an IFR environment, many of the new features will also help VFR pilots seeking an easy-to-use Pocket PC based GPS system.
Software prices begin at $195, while complete systems, which include a Pocket PC, start at $799.
