Introducing a new club that soars

By General Aviation News Staff · February 25, 2005 ·

AvMap/Navigation’s Aviation Division has unveiled a new club that provides members with a greater sense of community, as well as added benefits.

Club AvMap is aimed at the more than 2,000 owners of AvMap’s Electronic Knee Pad (EKP) GPS moving map navigators. “We have built a great connection with our customers over the past several years,” said Bill Poirier, manager of AvMap/Navigation-Aviation. “We’ve developed a sense of community using our telephone customer service and our online forums. We wanted to further expand this relationship by offering membership-based services that will also give our club members discounts on many of our products.”

C-MAP/USA, AvMap/Navigation’s parent company, has done this successfully with its popular Club C-MAP, creating a community of boaters who utilize C-MAP electronic charts and offering a range of useful benefits for sailors, powerboaters and fishermen. For an annual fee of $69, members receive a free Jeppesen update (an $80 value) and a subscription to the Club AvMap newsletter, as well as additional members-only savings, such as a 20% discount on all accessories, discounted $99 pricing on all EKP-IV aircraft mounts and 25% discounts on all Jeppesen update subscriptions.
