Elliott Aviation awarded STCs for air ambulance interior and Mark VIII EGPWS for Hawker 700A

By General Aviation News Staff · April 22, 2005 ·

Elliott Aviation recently received the company’s first STCs for multiple interior modifications designed to convert a corporate interior to an AeroMed Air Ambulance configuration – complete with a Spectrum bed and patient loading system — in a Hawker 700A. All necessary modifications, fabrications and certifications were completed for easy conversion of the corporate interior into a fully-equipped air ambulance in less than one hour.

Elliott also received certification for Honeywell’s Mark VIII EGPWS and MFRD display. The EGPWS displays terrain on the Honeywell MFRD while updating the cockpit with additional situational awareness, including a moving map, TCAS traffic display, weather display and a cockpit checklist. This installation offers Hawker 700A operators an additional option for complying with the FAA Class A TAWS mandate.

Additional work completed on the certification aircraft included: Paint, RVSM, Collins Proline Radio upgrades with RTU-4210s, 8.33Khz spacing and FM Immunity, TCAS II Change 7, Mode S Diversity Transponder Flight ID, XM Weather, a state-of-the-art cabin entertainment system and an Iridium phone for worldwide flight operation.
