A puzzling question

By General Aviation News Staff · May 20, 2005 ·

Your crossword for Feb. 11 seems to have needed a name to make two others work out. Your answer for the clue to 12 Across, “Sky King’s airplane” was “bluebird,” which let the answers to 13 Down and 9 Down work out as “Lindbergh” and “Bell.” Unfortunately Sky King’s airplane was named “Songbird.” At least it’s called “Songbird” in all the TV shows I watched as a callow youth and again on the complete set of TV episodes available from EAA on video which I have watched more recently as a grayer, balder, old pilot.

Millbrook, Ala.

Editor’s Note: You’re right — Sky King’s airplane was “Songbird.” Sorry for the puzzling problem.
