Landsberg receives Aero Club Presidential Medal

By General Aviation News Staff · May 20, 2005 ·

Meanwhile, Bruce Landsberg, executive director of AOPA’s Air Safety Foundation, was honored by the Aero Club of New England with its Presidential Medal.

The award was in honor of Landsberg’s contributions to the club’s Crash Course Safety Seminars, his positive representation of GA on industry committees, and his years of safety columns and advice. Landsberg is only the fourth recipient of the award.

Preparations and exhibitor registrations for the US Sport Aviation Expo are far ahead of 2004, according to organizers of the event, which is focused on Light Sport Aircraft and Sport Pilot.

So far, 80% of the exhibit spaces have been filled for the event, slated for Oct. 27-30 in Sebring, Fla., according to Bob Wood, chairman.
