Electronic Flight Solutions, Inc. offers FAA-accepted CompleteLearning TAWS training for Honeywell EGPWS. The PC-based software addresses the needs of corporate flight departments in a cost-effective manner, according to Brett Bell, vice president of business development.
“To achieve the most from a cockpit flight safety system such as EGPWS (TAWS), a pilot needs to be trained on its operational use, its capability, and limitations,” said Don Bateman, inventor of the ground proximity warning system and chief engineer, flight safety systems at Honeywell in Redmond, Washington. “Both EGPWS and pilot training will help reduce the risk of a Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT) accident. This training tool should greatly help achieve a basic understanding for the pilot of what EGPWS is and how it operates with a Terrain display.”
A full exam is administered at the end of the training and scores can be submitted and FAA-accepted certificates issued. For more information: 303-604-0075.
