A new museum has opened at Georgetown Airport (GED) in Sussex County, Delaware. The Delaware Aviation Museum features a number of interesting aircraft, including the B-25 “Panchito,” a Cessna UC-78, often called a “bamboo bomber” for its wooden spars and fabric covering, a Yak-9, MiG 15 and MiG 17. The museum also houses the Jeffrey Ethell Memorial Aviation Library, which contains some 3,500 aviation books, including biographies, unit histories and hundreds of original pilot operating handbooks, parts manuals, maintenance manuals and technical manuals from the 1920s through the 1950s.
