Required reading

By General Aviation News Staff · June 3, 2005 ·

I have just finished reading “The Outsiders,” (April 22 issue) several times over. This well-done article should be required reading for every one in the GA industry. It is a well expressed point of view of a highly qualified expert that requires consideration, if GA is going to continue to grow.

Let’s face it, the “good old days” are gone forever and if we are going to continue to grow, profit and improve, it is time for us to move forward. I also miss the “good old days,” when a Stearman was just a primary trainer. Well, they are not just primary trainers any more and times are changing. We need to wake up and motivate the next generation of GA or prepare to face the consequences. In the event that we don’t take this giant step on our own, the government will regulate us right out of business.
