Owners of Lycoming or Continental engines no longer have to use a mechanical tachometer.
The new UMA electronic tachometer is certified to the FAA TSO C49b standard for installation in fixed-wing aircraft. The tachometer is available in a 3-1/8-inch size with an hourmeter factory set to record at any rpm you choose. The tachometer also may be ordered with Internal EL lighting. The light does not use bulbs, but an electroluminescent light strip.
