Wing Aviation named authorized winglet installation facility

By General Aviation News Staff · June 17, 2005 ·

Houston-based Wing Aviation has recently been named an authorized Hawker 800 and Gulfstream II winglets installation facility by Aviation Partners of Seattle.

The FAA-certified Blended Winglet Performance Enhanced Technology for the Hawker 800 series aircraft is designed and manufactured by Aviation Partners as a performance enhancement system. The blended winglets transform the standard 2,510 nm Hawker 800 to a 2,690 nm Hawker 800SP. The Hawker 800SP will fly 30 minutes longer, 180 nm farther, 18 kts faster and with a 2,000 foot higher initial cruise altitude compared to a standard Hawker 800. With the ability to climb to higher initial cruise altitudes, step climbs may be omitted from many mission profiles.
