Elliott Aviation has received an STC to install Honeywell’s Runway Awareness and Advisory System (RAAS) in the Beechjet 400A.
RAAS offers a safety enhancement to Honeywell’s Mark V Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) and can be added to existing or new installations, providing improved situational awareness to help prevent runway incursions. The system utilizes GPS data, in addition to EGPWS runway database information, to monitor the aircraft’s position on the runway and taxiways. In the event of a deviation, the flight crew is alerted through an aural advisory warning.
This STC adds to Elliott Aviation’s growing list of safety products available to Beechjet 400A operators, including: Honeywell Mark VIII and Mark V EGPWS with windshear alerting, Collins TCAS-94 (TCAS II), and TCAS-4000 (ACAS) interfaced to the existing Collins Proline 4 Avionics.
