New Spectrum 1000 offers increased flexibility

By General Aviation News Staff · July 22, 2005 ·

Designed for superior cutting and gouging, the new Spectrum 1000 air plasma cutting and gouging system from Miller Electric Manufacturing Co. offers increased flexibility with Auto-Line primary power management technology.

Auto-Line allows automatic connection to any primary input voltage from 208 to 575 volts, single- or three-phase, 50 to 60 Hz. In addition, the patented Ultra-Quick Connect torch allows for fast plasma torch connection and removal. Auto-Refire Technology automatically controls the pilot arc when cutting expanded metal or multiple pieces of metal, reducing operator fatigue and increasing the lifetime of consumables.

In addition to its cutting capabilities, the Spectrum 1000 provides superior gouging capabilities, offering an extremely long gouging arc for hard-to-reach, heavy applications. Plasma arc gouging produces less dust, smoke and other harmful environmental hazards compared to carbon arc gouging.

The Spectrum 1000 is covered by a three-year factory warranty.
