Continental to power Seawind

By General Aviation News Staff · September 23, 2005 ·

The Seawind 300C, an amphibious four-place airplane, will be powered by the Continental IO-550N 310-hp engine. FADEC (Fully Automated Digital Electronic Control) will be offered as an option. Seawind officials also tapped Sagem to supply a glass cockpit for the airplane, which is expected to obtain certification in both Canada and the U.S. by January. So far, the company’s order book stands at 44, selling out all 2006 delivery spots and most of 2007.
