Are you ready for this?
With fall just starting to take over Southern weather, the people at Sun ‘n Fun are already thinking spring. The 32nd annual fly-in will be held April 4 through 10 at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport near Lakeland, Fla. Its inspiring theme is “The Joy of Flight.”
As in years past, educational forums and workshops, where pilots, aircraft owners and builders gather to learn everything from technical skills for building an airplane to tips on international flying, will be central to the event.
This year, the forums area was enlarged and moved nearer to the Florida Air Museum, allowing room for more programs.
“Education is the hub around which the Sun ‘n Fun Fly-in is built,” explained President John Burton.
Special programs honoring the 25th anniversary of the first Space Shuttle flight and the lifetime career of Curtis Pitts are in the planning stages.
