Department of Veterans Affairs approves education benefits for Embry-Riddle CAPT Flight Training Program

By General Aviation News Staff · November 4, 2005 ·

The Commercial Airline Pilot Training (CAPT) program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has received approval from the Department of Veterans Affairs to train veterans at its flight training facility in Bunnell, Fla. The new state-of-the-art flight training facility is located at the Flagler County Airport 23 miles north of Embry-Riddle’s campus in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Those who signed up for the Montgomery GI Bill while in the military may be eligible to receive up to 60% reimbursement for flight training in the CAPT program. The approved courses include Commercial Pilot, Instrument Rating, Multi-Engine Rating, Certified Flight Instructor Instrument, and MD-90 Type Rating training. Embry-Riddle’s Veterans Affairs Office will certify training at the beginning of the month for all training completed during the previous month.

For more information: 877-577-CAPT (2278).
