New website focuses on hearing conservation

By General Aviation News Staff · November 4, 2005 ·

The Bacou-Dalloz Hearing Safety Group has launched a new website, HearingPortal.com.

The new site features product information for Howard Leight and Bilsom hearing protection devices, including all recognized attenuation ratings (NRR, SNR, SLC80), literature downloads, global sales contacts, news archives, and a user-friendly search function.

Central to HearingPortal.com is a series of short articles designed to address the questions and concerns of safety professionals engaged in the development and implementation of hearing conservation programs. Written by expert hearing conservationists and edited by noted hearing conservation authority Brad Witt, “Sound Source” includes topics such as “Understanding Ratings,” “Earmuffs & Safety Eyewear,” “A- and C-Weighted Noise Measurements,” “How NRR is Calculated,” and more.

Coming soon is the Hearing Portal Resource Center, incorporating regulatory information, new research findings and educational/motivational tools.
