Express your true love of fllying with cards, ties and more from Gift of Wings

By General Aviation News Staff · November 18, 2005 ·

Gift of Wings has unveiled a lineup of more than 48 aviation greeting cards, just in time for the holidays.

The “Spirit of St. Louis”, “J-3 Cub,” “B-17,” “Airshow Performers” and “The Wright Flyer” join an already impressive line of original aviation greeting cards including the P-51 Mustang, the Eagle montage, the B-24, the Cessna montage, the Beechcraft montage, the P-38, and many more aviation- and space-themed cards.

Scott Fisher, president of Gift of Wings and an avid pilot and flight instructor, started printing the line of greeting cards back in 1983, after noticing that many pilots were looking all over town for some type of card with airplanes. He thought it made more sense to use historic aviation and space themes as the theme of a card rather than just as background. “Pilots eat, sleep and drink aviation,” said Fisher. “Why not send it out to our friends during the holidays and throughout the year, and express our true love for the sport of flying.”

Greeting cards are priced at $7.95 for a pack of 10. Custom imprinting is available upon request.

The Gift of Wings Aviation Cards, along with holiday ornaments, aviation ties, on-board signs, T-shirts and models are available at GiftOfWings.com and at the Gift of Wings retail store in Franklin, Wis., FBOs and museums nationwide. Not online? Call 414-425-8002.
