WeatherBug Plus 6.1 delivers live, personalized weather

By General Aviation News Staff · November 18, 2005 ·

WeatherBug, a provider of live, local weather information, has launched WeatherBug Plus 6.1, a subscription application.  Now available at Weatherbug.com or at retail stores, this streaming weather program features live, neighborhood weather conditions, hourly digital forecasts, lightning maps and historical data. It visually tracks a storm’s progress across a given area, displaying associated lightning strikes. The strikes illustrated on the map are constantly updated. The most recent strikes are white, graduating in color from red/orange to the initial strikes in that path.

The WeatherBug digital forecast model is one of the first desktop weather applications to use the National Weather Service’s new National Digital Forecast Data (NDFD). It focuses on a three-mile radius versus the previous county level.

Price: $19.95.
