Mooney sales boom

By General Aviation News Staff · December 8, 2005 ·

Mooney Airplane Co. delivered 23 aircraft valued at more than $9 million in the third quarter of this year. So far this year, the company has delivered 66 planes worth about $28 million, which places it on track to more than double 2004 deliveries. Last year, the company delivered 36 planes.

Sales of Mooney’s Garmin G-1000-equipped models have been “vigorous,” with production sold out into next year, according to company officials.

As Mooney gears up for its 60th anniversary next year, it approaches another milestone: It will deliver its 11,000th plane in the first quarter.
