A lame excuse

By General Aviation News Staff · January 20, 2006 ·

I just read Elliott Schiffman’s excuse for mass arrivals at Oshkosh (Bonanza leader tackles critics, Nov. 18 issue). I was one of the people trapped by these guys and the Mooneys.

I blame the EAA for letting these so-called Big Money people pull this kind of stunt. My take is get in line like the rest of us. You can hide behind all kinds of FAA regs to me, but that was a lame excuse. Procedures are written to arrive at Oshkosh by the FAA. Show me where it says Bonanzas and Mooneys have arrival rights, all others please hold over any lake close to Oshkosh. Again I blame the EAA. All they see any more is money!
